The Exhibition

Rio Carnaval Expo is an immersive and interactive exhibition dedicated to the history, creation, and cultural power of Rio de Janeiro's samba schools.

The journey begins with the Afro-Brazilian and popular origins of Carnaval, goes behind the scenes of parade preparation, and reaches the collective emotion of Sapucaí. Collections, installations, audiovisuals, and interactive experiences reveal how music, dance, literature, sculpture, painting, technology, and popular knowledge come together to create one of the greatest shows in the world.

More than telling a story, the exhibition invites visitors to become part of it.
